Volunteers are the backbone of the RMAG. We couldn't do what we do without the group of dedicated and talented people who help out. From choosing luncheon topics and editing The Outcrop and The Mountain Geologist, to putting together fun social events and field trips, to governing and guiding the organization, volunteers are involved at every level of the RMAG. Whether you have a little time to give or a lot, there is a place for you. And it has never been easier to get involved, with meetings and events happening online. You can volunteer in your pajamas!
Volunteering with the RMAG is also a great way to network with other geoscientists. Our committees generally have six to ten people involved; committee members come from all over the industry and academia and range in age from young professionals just starting out to seasoned professionals and retirees. And besides getting work done, we have a lot of fun together!
