Publications Committee

The fantastic team behind RMAG’s publications, the Publications Committee is responsible for RMAG's two main publications.  First, The Outcrop, the monthly newsletter of the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists, is a regionally oriented publication that highlights association events, member activities, topics of interest, awards, and operations. Second, The Mountain Geologist is RMAG’s peer-reviewed journal, which generally focuses on the geology of the greater Rocky Mountain area of North America.

Members of the committee help shape the future of RMAG’s publications by contributing to and recruiting authors for articles in The Outcrop and The Mountain Geologist. They guide articles from conception to publication, supporting authors with feedback, edits, and adherence to publication timelines. Experience in writing and publishing technical geoscience material is encouraged for committee members.
