2026 RMAG MOwry Formation Symposium

The Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists (RMAG) invites abstract submissions for a one-day symposium dedicated to exploration and production of the Mowry Formation. This symposium will bring together geoscientists, engineers, and industry professionals to share current research, exploration insights, and field developments related to one of the Rocky Mountain region's significant unconventional resource plays.

SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACT

Topics of Interest

We welcome submissions on topics including, but not limited to:

• Regional geology and stratigraphy of the Mowry Formation
• Geochemistry, source rock characterization, and maturity
• Reservoir characterization and petrophysical analysis
• Drilling, completion, and stimulation techniques
• Production performance and field case studies
• Seismic interpretation and subsurface mapping
• Basin modeling and resource assessment
• Emerging technologies and future exploration opportunities

Submission Guidelines

• Format: Oral presentation (25 minutes)
• Abstract length: 150–300 words
• Submission deadline: July 15, 2026
• Notification of acceptance: September 15, 2026

How to Submit

Submit abstracts to the portal by July 15, 2026. Submissions will be reviewed by the symposium organizing committee and selected based on relevance, technical merit, and overall program balance.
