The Continuing Education Committee is responsible for bringing professional education programming to RMAG members as well as the entire geoscience community in the Rocky Mountain region and beyond. Committee members engage in finding speakers for all RMAG educational programming events, including luncheon speakers, and short course, core workshop, and symposia presenters throughout the year.
The committee meets monthly to discuss potential geoscience topics and speakers. The committee is chaired by the current RMAG Second Vice President, and co-chaired by the Second Vice President-Elect. Both positions change annually. We always welcome new members to this committee. All committee members must be willing to commit to active participation, which includes locating potential presenters within their network of colleagues, occasional fundraising for event specific sponsorships, and from time to time volunteering at RMAG events.
The Continuing Education Committee is a vibrant, essential component of RMAG’s overall success. If you are interested in joining, please fill out this committee application form. If you have any questions, please contact the RMAG office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
