COGA Call for Papers

2010 Rocky Mountain Energy Epicenter Conference

The proposed RMAG technical program will be organized topically and will provide cross-disciplinary collaboration with COGA. COGA will be organizing its own concurrent sessions. The RMAG welcomes abstracts in the following categories:

Theme I: Rebalancing the Portfolio

Session 1: Shale Oil Developments and Studies (Oral)

Session 2: A New look at Oil Plays of the Rockies (Oral)

Session 3: Enhanced Recovery Techniques and Developments (Oral or Poster)

Session 4: Technical Considerations in Acquisitions and Divestitures (Oral or Poster)

Theme II: Optimizing Core Assets

Session 5: New Developments in Tight Gas Reservoirs (Oral)

Session 6: Shale Gas Plays of the Rockies (Oral)

Session 7: Characterization of Unconventional Reservoirs (Oral or Poster)

Session 8: Geologic Considerations in Well Completions (Oral or Poster)

Theme III: The Latest in Groundwork Science

Session 9: Seismic Techniques Guiding Exploration and Production (Oral or Poster)

Session 10: Stratigraphic Insights into Rockies Reservoirs (Oral or Poster)

Session 11: Structural Studies and Rockies Basins (Oral or Poster)

Session 12: Petroleum Systems, Geochemistry and Source Rocks of Rockies Basins (Oral or Poster)

Theme IV: Technology Leading Businesses

Leading Oil and Gas Companies are invited to present a mini-technical session (approximately 3-5 papers selected by the company) highlighting geological, geophysical or engineering topics of importance to their business. The technical session shall consist of technical papers formally presented with PowerPoint illustration. (Oral)
